NETCO Construction Project Managers, Inc. was chosen by the Town of Watertown as the Project Manager for the Watertown Free Public Library on Main Street. The addition/renovation project included design, construction, interior fit-out and technology infrastructure. The two story steel, glass and masonry structure required both renovation to the turn of the century portion of the library facility and construction of a new addition.
A significant challenge of the project was the small site and restricted work area. The library site is in the center of Watertown with the fire and police stations on one side, the Town Hall on a second side, Main Street, with dozens of businesses on a third side, and multi-family residential structures and parking in the back. The project required the contractor to develop a construction mitigation program to minimize construction impact. NETCO worked closely with all parties to develop, coordinate and administer an effective construction mitigation. The Town of Watertown has a library which is a source of pride and will be of use to the community for many years to come.
