Sturbridge Town Hall Restoration
- Completed: September 2010
- Size: 15,000 square feet
- Cost: undetermined
- Architect: J. Stewart Roberts Associates, Inc.
The Sturbridge, MA Town Hall project involves the restoration and rehabilitation of two historic buildings, The Town Hall Building and the Center Office Building. Both buildings date from the late 1800’s, and are wood frame and brick masonry structures constructed on field stone foundations.
NETCO was selected to be the Project Manager for the design through the construction process, a 12 month schedule. Included in this work is phasing of the design and construction to minimize the cost and the amount of time that the Town Administration staff will need to occupy other office facilities. Key technical challenges are structural analysis of both buildings, and dealing with the infiltration of water in the basement and crawl spaces of each building.
